Please join one of the seven walking school bus route groups coming to school on Wednesday, or walk/bike in on your own. Participants will receive pencils and stickers once they get to school. Adults who join in are welcome to coffee and cereal at the cafeteria.
After School Tutoring will begin on Monday October 20th. If your child brought home paperwork from their teacher, please return it as soon as possible. If you are interested in tutoring for your child or have any questions, please contact Sheryl Aliquo or Peg Jehle at 527-0565 x2211.
St. Albans City School is partnering with Efficiency Vermont to promote the sale of LEDs and raise money for our school. Efficiency Vermont is providing LEDs (light-emitting diodes) at no cost! All LEDs are priced at $2/bulb. LEDs are more efficient, durable and longer lasting than incandescent and fluorescent lighting. In addition, LEDs emit light in a specific direction, whereas an incandescent or fluorescent bulb emits light—and heat—in all directions.

Parents and Families are invited tonight to our annual Harvest Dinner and Open House from 5:00-7:00pm. Classrooms will be open, The Book Fair will be running in the Learning Commons and the Parent Resource Fair will be held in the small gym. Dinner is served at no cost to students and families. We hope to see you there!
SACS Annual Open House and Harvest Dinner is on Thursday September 25th from 5:00 – 7:00pm. All Parents and families are invited to a FREE dinner in the cafeteria. Learning Communities will be open so families can visit. The Parent Resource Fair will be held in the small gym, and The PTO Book Fair will be held in the Learning Commons.

Kindergarten Transition Day
Kindergarteners and their families will be here on 9/10 for an orientation/transition day from 8:30 to 10:30. The first full day for Kindergarten is Thursday 9/11.
Spelling Bee Tryouts
Any 5th or 6th grader who would like to try out for the SACS 5/6 spelling bee team, please come to Mrs. Dean’s room Thursday during WIN.
Do you need a Bicycle/Skate/Ski Helmet? Orders Due September 26thThere will be ONE helmet drive this Fall. Anyone needing to order a bicycle, skate boarding, or ski helmet should pick up an order form from the bulletin board area of the school’s front lobby. Prices are very reasonable ($6.00 – $27.00). Walk to School Day Wednesday Sept 3rd
Our first of at least 16 Walking Wednesdays will happen this Wednesday. You are encouraged to join one of the seven “walking school buses” that meet at designated locations and gather up students along a specific route. Teachers & Staff lead these walking buses and will get students to school on time.
